Today's the day!

Well, We (Me & Cait) slept awful last night! Too excited! Dave and Karlene will be picking us up at 9am to head to the airport. We are flying to Philly where we will be switching planes and flying first class to MCO!
Right now,our biggest concern is the weather -- I can see why Sept. cruises are cheap.. We are basically sailing b/w 2 storms. Hurricane Gustav and Tropical Storm Hana. We really have no idea how this will affect our cruise itineary - but i am confident that whatever happens DCL will take good care of us. I have serious doubts that we will make it to Disney's island - Castaway Cay - twice like we were supposed to (hence the cruise name - Double Dip).
But, as i said, i am sure DCL will go above as usual to make this a great cruise.
However, i did pick up an extra box of Bonine the other day, and i will be starting to take those today (cait too). Just as a precaution.
Also, we had to bring cait to the dr. the other day, and they gave us an antibiotic for her b/c of her tooth, when we get back she will be going to the oral surgeon to be put asleep and pull two baby teeth that are at risk of being abcesed (sp?). So, we have that to bring with us.

Less than 2 weeks and counting!!

Wow! Time is flying by now!!! There is only 11 days til we leave!
My head is spinning with my to-do list before we leave!
I picked up our FE gifts, started making cabin signs, ordered 12 trading pins, and am trying to organize a packing list..
I always seem to overpack, no matter how hard i try.. i am determined NOT to pack to much for this short trip!
We found out that Brent will be our cruise director, which is great - he did an awesome job last time and my inlaws know him very well - pretty much on a first name basis, from cruising so much.. LOL
Part of me wishes i could take my laptop to journal on while we are on the ship, but i don't want the hassle of lugging it around -- so i just will have to journal the ol' fashioned way,and update my blog later! So, anyone reading will have to just wait!

4 weeks to go!

Well, 4 weeks from today, we will be on the Magic!! I still look at it as bittersweet, when it's cruise time, summer will also be ending.. :( I have had a great summer, it has been my first summer in about 4 years that i have really enjoyed the sunshine and relaxing days! My family is shocked that my arms are actually TAN! LOL
I have dragged out the suitcases (oh, who am i kidding, they were never away), and started assembling items that we would need.
I am working on my Fish Extender gifts - but won't tell what they are incase i have any other Dis'ers who read this! ;)
For anyone not familiar with a Fish Extender (or FE as i will now refer to it), basically, it is a pocket like hanger that you would hang from your little fish outside your cabin (the fish has your cabin number on it,and DCL uses it for letters/notices for you). The messageboard that i belong to www.disboards.com has a group going on this cruise, a huge group of over 115 cabins, and we are all participating in an exchange. So, basically, that means that i had to do some creative thinking as to gifts that i could bring that wouldn't take up a ton of room in my suitcase (as we are not checking our suitcases on the way down), and that wouldn't break the bank! But, if i do say so, i came up with some great ideas!
And then we (me and Cait) go everyday, and hunt down cabins on the list and leave our lil' surprises in their FE's. It really is fun, and cait loves to come back to the cabin at the end of the night and see what is left for her!
Last cruise we got things like: necklaces, pirate chocolate "coins", magnets, notebooks, a ball, antenna topper, and stickers..

I am also starting to get together my packing list - being that it's only a 5 night cruise, and we will be docked alot of the time, i don't have to pack an awful lot of stuff.. I plan on hanging out in my bathing suit by the pool 90% of the time anyway, or the beach! We have one formal dinner at Palo's (the adult only rest. aboard) and then we have one night where we all dress as Pirates.

I am also designing signs for our cabin door, which is another thing the people on our messageboard started doing, and has taken on a life of it's own. Last cruise i did signs for our cabin as well as Dave & Karlene, and Kellie & Bob's cabins.

We just got our flight info, and we are scheduled to land at MCO at 4:18 pm, on sunday the 31st. So, hopefully all will go well and then we can relax at the Hyatt before the cruise leaves the next day.

I will be checking back in soon!
Til then, Disney Dreams!!
